Stay In Kintyre

This site is for an accommodation provider in Scotland with multiple properties. The site operates a booking system that integrates with Online Travel Agencies like Booking.com, as well as taking bookings and payments directly on the site.
The site has a comprehensive list of abilities, like producing financial reports, sending various SMS messages and emails to guests and owners, and it even allows the owner to showcase the region.

Fixed costs:

These are the hosting, domain registration and use of any premium themes/plugins. Depending on number and type this example runs at around £500 per annum.

Website creation:

All of the assets were created from scratch.  A lot of work went into the integration of the site with booking Online Travel Agencies (OTA’s like Booking.com) using their API’s, an SMS provider and payment providers such as PayPal and Stripe as well as the evolution of the site design.

Given the complexity, the update and maintenance contract on this site is around £500 p.a. and includes manual update of plugins and themes on the included test site, ensuring plugins and themes function after updates. Release options are to rollback to a previous version, revert to a site backup, or forward fix depending on circumstances, and includes liaison with third party support where appropriate.

Business Value:

The site offers a cost-effective global reach to potential visitors to the area. Guest experience is heightened by efficient and timely reservation messaging from a central source no matter what OTA they used where you can be confident of real-time synchronisation. The days of double booking are over.

Increased repeat business increased by timely, and appropriate, after market messaging.

You don’t have to worry about technical issues and you have a reliable site to offer your customers as well as a reliable business tool for you.

The forum allows members to safely discuss beekeeping in their own area, and also gives the association that ease of communication Facebook groups lack when people don’t use Facebook.

It allows members of the public to easily contact the association when they may need to, such as alerting them to the presence of swarms for collection.
